How to download and install the new Windows 10 Technical

Microsoft has unveiled the next stage in the development of Windows 10, revealing a host of new features. Windows Phone's voice recognition system, Cortana, will be coming to the desktop, users will be able to stream Xbox games to their PCs, laptops and Windows tablets, and that OS will gain a brand spanking new browser called Spartan. See also: Windows 10 review.

And in even better news, the latest Technical Preview is available for download and installation by anyone who signs up for the Windows Insider Program. Follow the steps below to find out how to get the latest build.

1 . download and install Windows 10 Technical Preview: step 1

Windows Insider Program - get started
You'll spot a purple button labelled "Get started" at the bottom,
Key Note:
* The preview will install as an upgrade from Windows 7 and Windows 8; users of Vista users and other OSes will need to perform a clean installation
* It won't install on an RT system, or on an "N" edition of Windows
* It requires a 1GHz processor and 16GB of hard disk space
* It doesn't include certain licensed codecs, so you won't be able to play DVDs in Windows Media Player after installing it
* You'll also lose Windows Media Center, if you currently have it
* Once you install the preview, the only way to return to your previous version of Windows 7 or 8 is by restoring it from a backup
* The preview might "phone home" with diagnostic data about how you're using it; if you're worried about your privacy, don't install the Windows 10 technical preview on your personal PC

If you're fine with all that then click "Get started" and let's move on. (If you're evaluating Windows 10 in a business environment you might alternatively want to click the link below the button for the Enterprise Edition.)
Confirm that you want to join the Insider programme - not a difficult decision, if you've come this far, we imagine, so simply click through and you'll get to the following page.

You Accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Statement: Image
Windows 10 legalese

Next up is a lot of legalese, but you really ought to pay attention. Since this is pre-release software, the disclaimers are even more blunt than usual, with caveats including:

* "You may experience occasional crashes and in rare cases data loss" - in other words, don't come crying to Microsoft if Windows 10 falls over in the middle of your keynote presentation
* "By participating, you agree to frequently backup your data"
* You also agree to let Microsoft use data associated with your Microsoft account to "improve" its products and services.
Happy? Of course you're not, but if you want to get your mitts on the preview, click "I Accept", then on the welcome screen that follows, scroll down the page and click the Continue button.

Download the ISO : Download Power Iso for Boot

You'll now be taken to the download page - scroll down and click Get the preview, then on the following screen you'll find the download links. As well as the regular ISOs, British English files are provided in both 32-bit and 64-bit flavours - isn't that nice?
Click to download the appropriate file. You'll see a product key shown, but there's no need to take note of this - it's a generic Technical Preview code (so everybody gets the same key) and will be configured automatically during the installation.

Write the ISO to a blank DVD or USB drive: It Is for Install In USB or DVD all so

If your PC still has a DVD drive, you can burn the ISO directly onto it to create your installation media. On Windows 8 you can do this by right-clicking on the file and selecting "Burn disc image". Otherwise you'll need some DVD-writing software such as the free ImgBurn.
If you prefer to install from a USB drive, you can use the freeWindows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool to turn the ISO into a bootable flash drive. Don't be put off by the name - though originally designed for customers downloading Windows 7 ISOs, this tool will still work with Windows 10.
Once you've created your installation media, either boot from it or open it in Windows Explorer and double-click setup.exe. Windows 10 Technical Preview will then begin to install. If you get a message saying that Windows 10 can't be installed as an upgrade - but you're certain your computer meets the requirements - you can skip the compatibility check by going into the sources folder and running installprep.exe instead. Needless to say, we can't be responsible if you try this trick and something goes wrong!
